One of my personal favorite beginner to intermediate level yo-yos ever. Recess YoYo’s First Base has a great ‘full’ feeling in hand without being overly large in its width nor diameter. A truly well designed organic shape that lends itself to hand comfort and grip. The large butterfly shape allows for ease of beginner to advanced string tricks. The rounded rims limit the ‘ouch’ of any yoyo snap-backs while providing improved grip. The included 2 bearing sizes that boast 2 different widths allow easy transition from beginner to advanced string trick yoyo setup. The slim bearing makes responsive yoyo setup (the traditional ‘tug on the yoyo and it comes back’) ‘just’ as it should be. Snappy but without being grabby. The 2nd bearing option is twice as wide, allowing for more gap fill of string segments.

This edition comes hand dyed by Tyler Severance himself. No two are alike so you truly are getting a one of a kind edition of this particular throw model. The translucent areas that remain on the body make for a variety of different color optics when spinning depending on what type of light setting you are in. It’s very chameleon in that way.
