A medium point thickness Sharpie highlighter. That’s what 65 Formula reminds me of 😂 It has a certain bright but controlled character to it that remains very persistent and ‘locked’ in. It has that same spatial awareness of full string going on like Rebby, but takes on a different character when pushed in speed. This formula, in effect, has ‘hops’ LOL. What I mean by that is linear vertical motions (Eli hops, Black Hops, Kwijibo) happen with a spring like feel - felt in ascension and decension ‘of said hops’ 😁

The texture of 65 is crispy soft. With open string tension, you can really feel the soft texture of the twist. The thickness is in the same range as Rebby, so slightly thicker than DRAKEN bbbuuutttttt ‘feel’ wise, it doesn’t stay feeling the same thickness throughout its different tension stages. Here’s where things get rather interesting.

Full open tension, standard tension, tight but useable tension. These three different string tensions all have their own play style, while all still share the same general timing and control pattern. Fully open feels 2 to 2.5x thicker and noticeably soft. Standard tension is best for ‘hops’. In this tension the string feels cooler and more like DRAKEN in texture, with twist neatness like Rebby. The change in thickness is felt the most between full open to standard. Tight but useable tension feels very similar to DRAGON. The tension when getting to it’s tight range starts to feel thicker as a result of the body of the string having a more ‘stacked’ tightening vs thinned out like how certain cheaper strings can do.

These 3 varying textures make for a very unique set of options. You go all the way from a more cotton ‘like’ feel all the way to DRAGON feel, with just one string. The super upside to this is your getting ‘good’ playability throughout the entire usable tension range. Some strings tend to get thin, dull and/or snaggy as they get too tight. It’s pretty much the exact opposite with 65. You’re getting more resistance the tighter the string gets.

The play variation enables exploration as its own standard. This is quite literally a ‘trick string’. One of the best binding string formulas we’ve made to date.

To wash your string, merely put it in the laundry with your white garments load as if it was laundry. Thats it.
